The bar –also called “Café” in Argentina- is, in all of its forms (a place to gather, to chat, to go on a friendly or romantic date, to have a business meeting, as well as a place to get way to and relax during one’s leisure time and, of course, a place to have a coffee or a drink) is a natural place the Argentine frequents.
Many of them have been official recognized as Cultural Patrimony of the City of Buenos Aires, as they have lasted through time. For this reason, they are vehicles of the live history of the people, for their contribution to cultural events, their historically relevance, the architectural preservation, etc.
